WHAT IS CROSSFIT?


Appeared in the USA in 2001 and arrived in France in 2012, CrossFit is a general physical preparedness program open to all regardless of physical capacity, age, sec and goal. It relies on the practice of constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity. The movements we do come from different modalities such as gymnastics, weightlifting, track and field and more traditional cardio exercices, etc. but most of all from everyday life.
These exercices put together, have varied lengths and are commonly called WOD (Workout of the Day) and are done in a place called a box that are affiliated to CrossFit. Done consistently, CrossFit develops Cardio vascular and respiratory endurance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, accuracy, balance, power and speed. CrossFit is based on natural movements of the body (push, pull, throw, lift), that will encourage participants to work on their weaknesses while developing their strengths.

WHY START CROSSFIT?


CrossFit will help you develop the 10 following physical skills:

Cardiovascular / respiratory endurance – The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.

Stamina – The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.

Strength – The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.

Flexibility – The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.

Power – The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.

Speed – The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.

Coordination – The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.

Agility – The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.

Balance – The ability to control the placement of the body’s center of gravity in relation to its support base.

Accuracy – The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.

We limit our community because our coaches invest in every single athlete and deserve the same in return.
You can’t compare our prices with other gyms, as in these commercial gyms you will pay a fixed price to come and use the facilities without being coached.
In our box, we propose you a physical preparedness program : we coach the movements and exercices, we give you advices if you want them; we help you progress, develop your performances and try to make you better every time you come and see us.
We are convinced that we give each of our athletes the best price to quality ratio. Our CrossFit classes are of course given by coaches who are legally certified and all have CrossFit credentials.
